Marc Stachel is the guy behind Paragliding XC, the highly addictive paragliding app that’s on the keenest XC hounds’ iPhones this season. We asked him a few questions. Marc, you are the developer behind Paragliding XC. For those who haven’t played it, tell us what it’s about – explain the app. It’s a game […] …read more

840km Through the Sierra
Dave Turner is about halfway through his attempt to vol-biv fly the length of the Sierra Mountains in California, solo and unsupported. Solo vol-biv flights are a serious undertaking, requiring a great deal of commitment (and usually a lot of walking with a very heavy pack). For more info, check out his website.
Best of luck Dave, and cheers from all the Team.

Leandro Flies 204km With His Rush 3
Leandro Pederson just sent us a note with this tracklog in it. He flew 204kms with his Rush 3 in 5:22hrs, which means an average speed of 45.8kmh! Nice work Leandro, that is quite impressive! The Ozone Team visited this beautiful part of the world in December 2012, but none of us flew that far, which makes us a little jealous
Leandro’s flight is an Argentine record in the EN B category.
Cheers Leandro, thanks for letting us know, and congrats on a beautiful flight.

Pepe Likes It
As a result of the problematic German regulations requiring that all wings have an LTF sticker applied to them, Ozone competition pilots in Germany have been forced to fly wings other than the Enzo2 in competition so far this year… of course, only in Germany.
As in other countries in the Northern Hemisphere (where pilots are saddled with less bureaucracy) national league competitions are now beginning. At the first German National event in Bavaria, Ozone Team Pilot, Pepe Malecki, decided not to fly his Enzo 1 and instead grabbed a Mantra M6 demo in size MS. He was unable to fly …read more

Seiko Smashes Records
Ozone Team Pilot, Seiko Fukuoka-Naville, has broken several records this year already. Is there a world record for the number of world records broken in a year? If so, we’re wondering if Seiko will add that one to her list as well
With her recent massive distance and triangle flights, Seiko is currently placed 1st in the women’s French XC league, and 4th in the overall! In the first week of May alone, Seiko flew 337km record flight from Jeufosse (near Paris, to near the Atlantic Coast), a 153km FAI triangle (32kmh), and a 100km FAI triangle (29kmh).
