The Pioneer’s Icarus Trophy begins October 2015

Get ready for the world’s FIRST long-distance Powered Paragliding Adventure Race! So, how long is “the world’s longest race?” The starting-line is in Washington State… The finish-line is in Southern California! Between those two points lies one of the greatest Powered Paragliding adventures on the planet.

This massive, 2-week-long UNSUPPORTED XC adventure is set to begin on October 11th, 2015. “Unsupported” means “every man to themselves!” You are expected to fly with literally everything you need on your person. If you get lost along the way, you will have only yourself to “get un-lost!”

The Pioneer’s Icarus Trophy will be a timed race, however, the “adventure” aspect of the race is emphasized first. That being said, you don’t have to be a competition pilot to participate. “We always find the people who come in last have the best stories to tell.” Weather you are a die-hard competitive pilot, or just a leisure pilot, this event is for all to enjoy!
