Fran’s Rampage Continues

;-)

Young Ozone Team Pilot, Fran Reina, is in a habit of winning most of the competitions that he enters. We fully support him in this habit

At the recent FIA El Yelmo Event, pilots flew three splendid tasks in good conditions. Fran was joined on the podium by Felix Rodriguez, who won the last task and took 3rd overall. Full results can be seen here.

Cheers from all the Team, and thank you Fran for your continued support!

Kirsty Cameron Wins Big, Again

Having Fun Out There

Ozone pilots around the world are enjoying their new wings, on XC adventures, hike & fly missions, and in comps.

Sebastian Kummer writes to us about a weekend hike & fly mission, which took him across the crest of the Austrian Alps. Sebastian writes, “Please find attached some impressions from my XC Hike&Fly tour on the past weekend. The conditions were phenomenal which gave me and my new Alpina 2 the chance to explore the Alps North and South. It was a fantastic adventure and I am near the status “impressions-overload””. You can see Sebastian’s high-alpine tracklogs here.

Epic Conditions at the Austrian Champs

Pilots at the Austrian Championships enjoyed truly all-time conditions, with some of the greatest tasks ever flown in competition. During the four day event, more than 500kms were flown, including two FAI triangles of more than 150km in length. In conditions such as this, the true nature of paragliders and the true abilities of pilots are allowed to shine through.

Ozone pilots swept the entire event, with 14 out of the top 15 overall pilots flying Ozone. Ozone pilots took first place in the Overall, Austrian Champ, Women’s, and Serial classes.

Records tumble over big weekend in the Alps

Austrian Bernhard Pefl became the second person to fly a 300km FAI triangle on a paraglider with a 300.65km flight from Antholtz in Italy on Sunday 8 June. Bernhard’s big flight came swiftly on the heels of Thomas Walder’s groundbreaking 325km flight through the Austrian Alps the day before. Bernhard was flying a Nova […] …read more

Huge World Record: Thomas Walder 325km FAI Triangle

In what could be considered one of the greatest flights of our generation, Thomas Walder has flown a 325km FAI triangle from his hometown of Mayrhofen, Austria, with his Ozone Enzo. Tom spent over 11hrs in the air, and flew through some of the most remote and serious terrain in the Alps.

Tom’s flying career has somehow largely managed to avoid the international spotlight, but he has been one of the world’s top pilots for over a decade. A professional tandem pilot by trade, Tom flies on his working days and also his days off, and has completed some highly impressive …read more
