Dave Turner is about halfway through his attempt to vol-biv fly the length of the Sierra Mountains in California, solo and unsupported. Solo vol-biv flights are a serious undertaking, requiring a great deal of commitment (and usually a lot of walking with a very heavy pack). For more info, check out his website.
