The World Paramotor Championships have come to an end, with Alex Mateos taking home the overall win. The event was held at Popham Airfield in the UK.<\/p>\n

Despite changeable weather the organizers managed to run an excellent competition with nine tasks covering navigation, economy and precision over seven days. 46 pilots competed in class PF1 and the total number of participants was 96, from 11 countries.<\/p>\n

Alex Mateos piloted his Viper 4 18m to his second World Championship title. The Italian Pasquale Biondo finished 3rd, flying his Viper 3 20m.<\/p>\n

Alex said, \u201cThe beginning of the competition was not so good for me, only because I missed a spot landing and lost a few points. This put me under a lot of pressure. But I recovered and maintained 1st place really quick. I am really happy with my new Viper 4, which I use for classic and slalom competition. Having good tools helped me to this success. 2016 has been the best competition season for me so far with the Viper 4:

\n– European Slalom Champion with Viper 4 14m solo and single trike (same wing)
