Video: Lost in the Garden, by Brett Hazlett

Brett Hazlett always delivers in his short films… “Just a short flight, I won’t need water,” I thought. My backyard site, Grouse Mountain, produced unexpectedly magical evening air which offered an exploration of the deeper valleys, far from roads and landing fields. I had a rare close up view of Crown Mountain and even the […] …read more

From Canadian Pacific to Prairie

OZONE’s Benjamin Jordan has successfully completed the first paraglider journey from Canadian Pacific to Prairie, spanning all of Canada’s southwest mountain ranges.

He has this to share:

“I always knew someone would do it. I just never imagined it would be me.
The potential of paragliding over the entire span of Canada’s southwest mountain ranges, has been my great dream since moving out here 10 years ago.
And, though there are many other Canadian pilots more worthy of such a task, I discovered that for one reason or another, they all had logical reasons for why it could not be done.
Today, please celebrate with me as I walk to the Calgary MEC store, completing this 39-day, solo, unsupported journey from Vancouver to Calgary and the first Canadian vol-biv, from Pacific to Prairie.
More importantly, thank you all for your support and believing in me in general. The love you show makes impossible seem like an outdated concept”

Congrats Ben and cheers from all the team at OZONE!

Alex Mateos Wins World Championships with Viper 4

The World Paramotor Championships have come to an end, with Alex Mateos taking home the overall win. The event was held at Popham Airfield in the UK.

Despite changeable weather the organizers managed to run an excellent competition with nine tasks covering navigation, economy and precision over seven days. 46 pilots competed in class PF1 and the total number of participants was 96, from 11 countries.

Alex Mateos piloted his Viper 4 18m to his second World Championship title. The Italian Pasquale Biondo finished 3rd, flying his Viper 3 20m.

Alex said, “The beginning of the competition was not so good for me, only because I missed a spot landing and lost a few points. This put me under a lot of pressure. But I recovered and maintained 1st place really quick. I am really happy with my new Viper 4, which I use for classic and slalom competition. Having good tools helped me to this success. 2016 has been the best competition season for me so far with the Viper 4:
– World Champion with Viper 4 18
– European Slalom Champion with Viper 4 14m solo and single trike (same wing)
– French Champion

Ozone Fazer 3 speed wing

Ozone say the latest Fazer 3 speed wing has an expanded flight range, “unmatched” precision, and can be foot or ski launched.
